Evenodd rule

A line is drawn from one point to another point distant from the geometry. If this line crosses the lines of the geometry an odd number of times, the point is inside the geometry; otherwise, the point is outside the geometry. The line should not pass through any vertices; otherwise, the results are ambiguous.
