Class definition conventions

When the MacApp" application framework was being created, issues arose regarding conventions such as how to indicate certain attributes of member functions, and whether they are called by clients never, rarely, or often. Based on experience with the MacApp software, such conventions do not sufficiently express the information a client or derived class needs. However, there are a few conventions that help.
