Dear all, I have experiences something similar. The bad thing is that I cannot reproduce it, too. The 'good' thing is, that I might have a hint: I experience this problem since I'm using the gui classes (TGMenu, etc). It seems that when root crashes not all calles to functions like gVirtualX->GrabPointer(...); gVirtualX->SetKeyAutoRepeat(...); are correctly reverted... Maybe a call to gVirtualX->SetKeyAutoRepeat(kFALSE) is missing in some exit-handler? Thomas.
