Hi,

It looks like adding MyODBC and unixODBC simply filled up my disk.  ROOT 
seems to demand space in either my home area (maybe for the root history 
file?) or the temp area or both before it will work properly, even if 
the current directory is on a disk with plenty of space.  Easy to 
imagine why.  Anyway, with a little more work, I should be able to get 
myself out of this mess.

Now I know the ROOT symtpoms of a full disk...  Thanks everyone for the 
help.
