Hi roottalk-- Does anybody happen to know the status of mac versions of root? On my 10.3 machine, the 4.00.08 source tarball fails to compile with ld: warning can't open dynamic library: /usr/local/root-v4-00-08a/lib/root/libfreetype.dylib (checking for undefined symbols may be affected) (No such file or directory, errno = 2) ld: Undefined symbols: _FT_Done_Face _FT_Done_FreeType _FT_Done_Glyph _FT_Get_Char_Index _FT_Get_Glyph whether or not freetype is installed via fink. The installed-directly-through-fink version has given me various problems, and the binary distribution has /Users/rdm compiled in to it, requiring one to make links and variously munge the installation. Might I ask if anyone uses root on OSX regularly, and if so what version of root are they using and briefly what installation method was used? Thanks, -t
