Skaling TCanvas for printout

Dear Rooters,

when saving a Canvas in pdf-Format (as does the printermenu since some versions), a "wider than higher" (x larger than y) Canvas comes out in landscape format but is using not the full paper space. A Canvas sized for example ("bla","bli",0,0,600,400) has about an A5 size on A4 paper.
Can this behaviour be adapted ?
