something does not look right. This line:

> PYTHONDIR=/afs/cern.ch/sw/lcg/external/Python/2.5.4/x86_64-slc5-gcc43-opt

together with this:

> export PATH=$ROOTSYS/bin:$PYTONDIR/bin:$PATH

would suggest that python 2.5.4 has been setup (as would be proper). But then the printout from python:

> Python 2.4.3 (#1, Sep 3 2009, 15:37:37)

states version 2.4.3.

Do you need to rehash?
