I forgot some importand informations. Here they are. > We are currently testing our final version on all platforms. If what I took today is the last beta ... I tried demos ... The "browser" example ... --------------------- root [0] .x demos.C root [1] (class TBrowser*)0x0 X Error of failed request: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 54 (X_FreePixmap) Resource id in failed request: 0x0 Serial number of failed request: 1388 Current serial number in output stream: 1427 Heap statistics ... --------------------- ... kills the root and leaves the xterm in a very strange state ( I can't see what I write and if I press "enter" I get : --------------------- 0)rzhp9b:(0)rzhp9b:(0)rzhp9b:(0)rzhp9b:(0)rzhp9b:(0)rzhp9b: --------------------- The above happens when I press "File/Close" in the "Browser" canvas. Another problem of the browser is that object names are in many cases unreadable because they are longer then the distance between object "icons", so they cover one another. Resizing the canvas does not help, as the distance between "icons" remains the same. Taking "Options/Show as/*" helps. Somehow the browser sees that the names are long and makes the distance between "icons" biger. The "shapes" example displays two windows - canvas "Geometry Shapes" and x3d"ROOT://X3D/" ( I can quit the x3d window pressing "q" ). The x3d window works much faster then the canvas when rotating ... . The "file" example ... --------------------- X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) Major opcode of failed request: 53 (X_CreatePixmap) Value in failed request: 0x0 Serial number of failed request: 87127 Current serial number in output stream: 87133 Heap statistics ... --------------------- ... kills the root and leaves the xterm in a very strange state ( as above ). The above happens shortly after the "ROOT File description" empty canvas is displayed. The "Close Bar" doesn't work at all. ( All these problems I also had with 100/08 on both aix and hp ). Jacek. P.S. I hope, of course, that you get the same problems ... . Jacek.
