Dear Rooters,
Happy new year 1998 !!
Apologies for the long list of emails with no answers in the past two
weeks.
We are just back to work.

This year, we intend to consolidate the Root framework: robustness,
performance and a better documentation.
Important developments are also scheduled, in particular the GUI and
PROOF.

We strongly hope to see this year a more official CERN support for the
project!
