thanks for testing the code. I guess we then have a problem with the
local installation or the ENV variables. 
My first guess would by the installation, since i didnt change the ENV
variables at all. There are set as:

[theol03] ~/root $ echo $ROOTSYS and $LD_LIBRARY_PATH           
/cern/root_gcc and /cern/root_gcc/lib
