Hi Stefan, can you try linking without -lNew. Does it still crash? If so you'll have to compile in debug mode and do some debugging yourself. The only linux we have access to and can test are: RH4.2, RH5.2, RH6.0, RH6.1 (of which RH4.2 is a libc5 system). On all these systems things work fine.
