Responding to problems
The problems listed in the following pages often require one of these three actions as part of the response to fix the problem:
- A deep clean removes all extraneous files and directories from the Taligent system directory; it leaves only those directories that came with the release.
- A session restart restarts the AIXwindows Window Manager after performing a deep clean.
- A complete restart restarts the AIX workstation. If you need to restart, you should also perform a deep clean.
