SNiFF+ text "melts"

You find that text displayed by SNiFF+ starts to "melt," with lines smearing on the screen. Scrolling the bad lines off the screen and back fixes the problem temporarily. In this case, SNiFF+, the CommonPoint application system, and X-Window are confused over lock ownership. Restarting the AIXwindows Window Manager should fix the problem:

  1. Right mouse on the AIX workspace to display the AIX system menu.
  2. Choose Restart (the second-to-last option).
  3. Choose OK to restart.
