Giving interactive processes a higher priority

To give a process higher processor priority, use schedtune to control memory loading (this example also smooths mouse movement during the loading of the CommonPoint application system):

    /usr/ibm/bin/schedtune -m 15
To make the change permanent, add this statement to: /etc/rc.local
