PyROOT with 64 bit python on Windows

Dear PyROOTers,

Is there any plan to make ROOT on Windows work with 64-bit python? Currently while trying to import ROOT from 64 bit python there is a message about lib incompatibility (I already switched to 32 bit, so I don’t remember exactly the message contents). Some people require 64 bit python for other projects, so this make it a compatibility hell.

Maybe a solution would be just to provide 64 bit Windows ROOT binaries?

We plan to have a 64-bit version of ROOT 6 in the future, but not in the short term, and no ROOT 5.

A shame. I understand there is no way of using 64 bit python with ROOT 5 on Windows then?
