I have the feeling that talking about the manula
format turns into a religion war...
What the user wants to see is :
1. a text with easy and quick access -> web pages
2. print it if the he does not like to read from
the screen -> ps ?
What the redactor wants to have:
1. a pre defined format
2. a tool he likes (knows how) to use.

My suggestion : one person makes an arbitrary
choice and every body follows.
Second suggestion: stop this discussion on the
format in the rootlist before it becomes hate
mail.
