  It is not done since ROOT doesn't provide any interface to OpenGL character drawing
  facilities yet. Somebody has to write this piece of code.

  In STAR to draw 3d axis (with no scale / label though ) with the method:

That can be replicated elsewhere. It can not be used directly since it uses
St_PolyLine3D class from STAR (Not that TPolyline3D from the basic ROOT.
