Mathieu de Naurois is reporting a nasty problem that appears under Linux 2.2.14.i686 when the machine runs an application (eg Root) under heavy I/O conditions. The application sees corrupted files. This problem had already been reported to Linux newsgroups, see: http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=10719 I am posting this mail to roottalk because I know at least two cases where people have spent a lot of time trying to understand the cause of the problems.
