It looks like a header file is missing from ROOT 2.24.02. This is the error message I get when I try to reference the "memory" header file (which contains the all-important auto_ptr class). root [0] #include <memory> Error: source file "_memory" cannot open FILE:/usr/local/root/2.24.02/gcc-c++-2.95.2/cint/stl/memory LINE:10 *** Interpreter error recovered *** root [1] According to the Release Notes at http://root.cern.ch/root/html/examples/V2.24.txt.html, Masa's ChangeLog entry on 17/02/2000 19.28.15 says that auto_ptr is now included in this header file.
