[ROOT] PS/EPS bounding box/page size

Hi ROOT users/developers,

Apparently it is not possible to print two pads which occupy the same
canvas to two different eps files. It seems to be that the page size (or
bounding box) are chosen to coincide with the canvas size. This means
that if one prints e.g. the upper pad in a canvas, it will have a trailing
white space occupying half of the area. I think that it would be very
convenient to have an (immediately accessible) way to print a pad to a
seperate eps file, with a bounding box just fitting the pad. This would
then be the standard way of producing illustrations which will later be
used in text. However, I have no idea whether it would be easy to provide
such functionality...

Note that for eps files it would be quite natural when the size of the
bounding box would be determined by the size of the picture inside,
instead of some predefined notion of how large (and what aspect ratio) it
should be, since these are always rescaled later on to fit in text or
so.

Cheers,

Marco van Leeuwen.
