Hi Tony,
Thanks for posting this very interesting information. This is a very
interesting development for interoperability between the C++ and Java
world.
AS you found out, the StreamerInfo facility of Root is still incomplete
but we intend to seriously extend this area in the near future.

The StreamerInfo principle is described in the Root Users Guide currently
in preparation.
