Hi Sue, I have several options which a user can set to call autosave: number of events, amount of data and then a timer can be set to save things from time to time. A user choice depends on the experiment, i.e. if you have a very low event rate and have to calibrate things on-line, you will wish to write near every event ... and so on. It is hard to satisfy everyone and everything and from experimental point of view backet optimization has the lowest priority :) Rene, would it be interesting to have a kind of profiler which can tell us statistics about baskets and all those interesting things to optimize the autosave or write functionality.
