I've alredy asked that twice: http://root.cern.ch/root/roottalk/roottalk00/2190.html http://root.cern.ch/root/roottalk/roottalk00/0273.html We use ROOT applications on the control room of CDF detector, event display in particular. Experimental fact is that it is the best to have one window per physical display(terminal). For instance current version of CDF event display has 4 generic displays + root propmt window. Hence a need to open these windows on 4 different workstations, (plus the workstation where the ROOT is actually running).
