You need to get the a slightly newer than 2.25.03 release from CVS.
There were some bug fixes put in (for RH7 port) that fixes this.

I had this problem as well.  Take a look at: 

	http://minos.phy.bnl.gov/~bviren/debian/

for more info (and a .deb).
