Hi Daniel,
This is already implemented.
You can set a default drawing option for TH1 objects via TH1::SetOption.

If you call TH1::Draw with no option, the default option is used.
example
  h->SetOption("lego");
  h->Draw();  // will use the lego option
  h->Draw("scat") will use the scatter plot option
