  Hmm I wonder the word "ROOT" has been reserved quite
  a while ago too.

  It is Toooooooo long.
  All methods there are static. This means you have to type
 (keep in mind the interactive session)

      TCernlib::<method name>(<list of parameters>)

  This is why it is 3-letters class name.
  I am not insist this should be very TCL, but it should be 3-letters.
  (Just remember yourself typing TMath:Abs() )
  Taking in account the first letter has been reserved. It is "T"
  We have mot much choise:

         T<"2-letters here">

  the we should creadit CERN. This means the name should contain "C"
  at least etc etc.

  Myself see nothing wrong with "TCL" unless better name is proposed.

  What about TCernlib name. We did regard this name. However it was
  refused because the word"CERNLIB" has been reserved ;-) quite
  a while ago.
