This basically works, but is Hi Mark, Instead of deriving TRint, maybe you can try to provided those extra features via a typical C++ addon library (for which you provide a cint dictionary created by rootcint). Since you wanted this library to always be available you can (for example) just link a new executable based on $ROOTSYS/src/rmain.cxx (like you probably) and making sure you link against the library and the object file of the dictionary. (i.e g++ ... minosDict.o rmain.o -L ......) Philippe.
