[ROOT] Obsolete compilers...

Dear ROOTers,

in the coming months we want to drop the support for obsolete compilers
that prevent us from adopting more modern features of C++, like templates,
RTTI (dynamic_cast<>, const_cast<>), exceptions, etc. The first compilers
on this list are:

1) HP's CC, we will only support aCC and g++ on HP-UX.
2) Sun's CC, we will only support CC5/6 and g++ on Solaris
3) IBM xlC, no alternative since we won't have access to AIX anymore

So if you use 1) and/or 2) please prepare yourself to migrate to either
aCC or CC5.

If you are using 3) and want to have continued support on this platform,
please provide us with and account on your AIX system, which must have a
recent version of xlC.

Cheers, Fons.
