I have a problem in root version v2.25.03 and v3.00.05 when running
  benchmarks.C I get the message :

Error in <RootX11ErrorHandler>: BadValue (integer parameter out of
range for operation) (XID: 0)

   and when making a CRT/C I have :

 *** Break *** keyboard interrupt FILE:file.C LINE:124

I make the installation from :

root_v2.25.03.Linux.2.2.14.tar.gz ,root_v2.25.03.source.tar.gz

and

root_v3.00.05.Linux.2.2.14.tar.gz ,root_v3.00.05.source.tar.gz

and recompile the two versions on my computer

I have no probleme running benchmarks.C with the old version
  (v2.23.12).

  My linux version is :

[root@lyopcs2 ~]# uname -a
Linux lyopcs2 2.2.14-5.0smp #1 SMP Tue Mar 7 21:01:40 EST 2000 i686 unknown
