[ROOT] Graphical layers

Hi,

Is there any support in ROOT for graphical ``Layers''.

As I understand it there is already support for overlaying TPads
(right?).  So what would be need is a management layer which lets one
control which layers are currently visible, the stacking order, which
layers get events, etc.

If you have ever used the Layers dialog box in Dia or the Gimp or
other such apps, this is what I mean.
