Oh yes! I've been anticipating this... I had tried to compile both 2.25
and 3.00 on the beta and the retail version using the bsd targets but
never got beyond cint. What changes were necessary? Will the macosx
target be added to the official release?

I tested your binary package with a couple of macros on my analysis
files and it works without any problems. It's not been a very thorough
test, though.

On compiling my code, for example a lib derived from the Event example
(version 2.25), I get get a binary that segfaults after the event loop.
I'll have to check if there's some old stuff in there that should be
changed for 3.0.

When I try to compile the Event expamle itself (from 3.0), I get

c++ -O MainEvent.o libEvent.so -L/usr/local/root-3.00.06/lib -lCore
-lCint -lHist -lGraf -lGraf3d -lGpad -lTree -lRint -lPostscript -lMatrix
-lPhysics -lm -ldl \
	   -o Event
/usr/bin/ld: libEvent.so is input for the dynamic link editor, is not
relocatable by the static link editor again

Haven't seen that one before... I'm using dlcompat-20010123 from
Darwinfo.org.

Sven
