[ROOT] guitest example hangs during histogram filling

Hi ROOTers,

I am writing some real-time analysis software based on ROOT. So some
histograms need to be updated frequently. I have embedded these
histograms into a GUI, like in the guitest example.

Now when I modify some parts of the histogram, e.g. moving or enlarging
the title, then I get frequently the error message:

> Error in <RootX11ErrorHandler>: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
(XID: 58720788)

And sometimes:
> Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x9da5)

and the program hangs.

I can reproduce this problem/bug/feature with the guitest example (Menu
Test, Item Dialog, Tab 3) when I move/enlarge some parts of the histogram.

Any solution for this problem is welcome.
