This problem had already been fixed in the CVS source.
We are planning to make the final release of 3.01 middle of next week.
Also note that in version 3.01, you can simplify your main program to:
#include <TApplication.h>
#include <TGClient.h>
#include <TidGUI.h>
int main(int argc, char **argv)
{
TApplication theApp("App", &argc, argv);
TidGUI g;
theApp.Run();
return 0;
}
