[ROOT] TMinuit & Stand-Alone Code

Hello, Rooters!

I am trying to create a compiled program to run outside (completely!) of
ROOT. I would, however, like to use the TMinuit class (and some others)
from the ROOT package. I am using ROOT 2.25 on Red Hat Linux.

In the first line of my main(), I call the TMinuit constructor

>gMinuit = new TMinuit(5); //gMinuit is a globally declared TMinuit*

I get a segmentation fault at a location "in TMinuit() from
.../libMinuit.so" according to GDB.

(I have tried variations on the declaration, with the same results.)

***I am (obviously) #including TMinuit.h -- is there anything I need to
do?? Another include or something like that????

I have had similar problems trying to use the built-in ROOT interface to
Minuit (with TF1 &c.) ... :( Is this just not possible?

Thanks!
