[ROOT] Size limitation in TCut ?

    Hello Rooters,

Is there a size limitation in TCut or some conflict in some cases
between the arguments in
chaine.Draw("varexp>>h1",cut) ?

In the attached sample, depending on the system
DECUNIX V4.0F and ROOT 3.00/06,
LINUX Redhat 7.1 and ROOT 3.00/06 or ROOT 3.01/05,

   ch1.Draw("Ex>>h1") works fine
ch1.Draw("Ex",cut) sometime works or draws nothing
ch1.Draw("Ex>>h1",cut) breaks with "floating exception" or
"segment violation"

( see details in the attached file)

Is there a simple way to overcome this feature ?

   Thanks
                                                          Jacques
