Earlier this month, I gave a hands-on tutorial on ROOT to a group of undergraduates. I've put the tutorial files on the web at <http://www.nevis.columbia.edu/~seligman/root-class/>. I'd like to get some feedback from other "ROOTers" on the class. Did I make any factual mistakes in the tutorial? Was there a better way to teach the material to students with little or no knowledge of physics, C++, UNIX, or statistics? Was there anything significant about the ROOT GUI that I omitted? I thank you in advance for any comments you may have. -- Bill Seligman | mailto://seligman@nevis.columbia.edu Nevis Labs | http://www.nevis.columbia.edu/~seligman/ PO Box 137 | Irvington NY 10533 | Phone: (914) 591-2823
