[ROOT] PostScript Problem

Hello Rooters,

I experience the same problem as Stefan Stonjek described in his posting
"http://root.cern.ch/cgi-bin/print_hit_bold.pl/root/roottalk/roottalk00/3361.html"
at 7.12.2000. (.ps file produced by ROOT more than 1 page, going back and forth the pages in gv
viewer leads to corrupt display). I didn't found an answer to this yet.

I'm ignorant of the postscript language, but played around with the .ps
file and I guess now that the problem is somehow related to the end of
the file.

Changing

-------------------------
showpage gr
 gr
%%Trailer
%%Pages: 2
 gr gr
%%EOF
--------------------------

to

-------------------------
showpage gr
%%EOF
--------------------------

seemed to cure the strange behaviour in gv (or ghostview). But a colleague
couldn't reproduce my "discovery". Any ideas?

Best Regards,

Thomas

P.S. Using ROOT 3.00_06, linux
