[ROOT] A small problem with macro hadd.C

I tried to use the simple macro hadd.C in the tutorials.
I get the following error message 
Error: Can't call TROOT::TROOT("hist_add","Histogram Merger") in current
scope FILE:hadd.C LINE:33
I'm using the version 3.01/00 of root.
