[ROOT] Problems setting library paths

This is probably a stupid question. I downloaded root the other day.
I wanted to compare the power of root to that of paw. My problem is
that I can't seem to set the library path right. The ROOTSYS path
seems to be set right. When I go to convert .hbook -> .root files
with h2root it gives an error ...unable to locate libCore.so... and
won't do anything. The benchmark.C program ran with little or no
errors that I could tell so root is working but the extra programs
(that I need) are useless. I'm running Redhat 7.1 and using the csh
shell. Thanks for any help from anyone.
