[ROOT] Why does the exec2.C demo hang under NT?

Hi rooters,

I have been having problems running one of the demos under NT using ROOT 2.25/03
and unfortunately it's a demo I would like to base a piece of code on.

The demo is hsimple.C - running this file alone works fine, but then when I try
to incorporate exec2.C it causes problems. According to the header of exec2.C
all I need to do is run hsimple.C, then type

hpxpy.Draw();
c1.AddExec("ex2",".x exec2.C");

and then as I move the mouse across the canvas a projection should be displayed
in a seperate canvas, however ROOT hangs at this point. I find that this works
fine under Solaris 8, but not NT, any ideas?
