Dear ROOTers,

I am having a problem to compile ROOT v.3.01.06 using on SUNOS 5.5.1
using Sun Workshop Compiler C 4.2

Compiling stops with the following error:
--------------------------------8<----------------------------------
/opt/SUNWspro/bin/CC -O -KPIC -I/usr/openwin/include -Iinclude -o
base/src/TStopwatch.o -c base/src/TStopwatch.cxx
/opt/SUNWspro/bin/CC -O -KPIC -I/usr/openwin/include -Iinclude -o
base/src/TStorage.o -c base/src/TStorage.cxx
/opt/SUNWspro/bin/CC -O -KPIC -I/usr/openwin/include -Iinclude -o
base/src/TString.o -c base/src/TString.cxx
"base/src/TString.cxx", line 1340: Error: The function vsnprintf must have
a prototype.
1 Error(s) detected.
make: *** [base/src/TString.o] Error 1
------------------------------8<----------------------------------

Is this problem unique to the compiler that I am using ? Does anyone have
any idea how to overcome this problem?

Thanks,

Ahmet Sedat Ayan
