I didn't mention it but I am trying to build my entire display in a single TCanvas so that I can print it to PS. Currently I do use TGDoubleSliders and various TRootEmbeddedCanvases similar to guiviewer, but the best I can do for printing is individual PS files for each TCanvas element. This is the real issue.
