Hello Fons, Thanks for the help... I've gotten ROOT/CINT to build with gcc 3.0.1 now, and I can even run things from the ROOT command line. I was wondering, though, am I loosing any functionality by using fakestrm.cxx? I assume I must be loosing something, else there wouldn't be a libstrm.cxx in the first place. Cheers, Tony. -----Original Message----- From: Fons Rademakers [mailto:Fons.Rademakers@cern.ch] Sent: Tuesday, September 04, 2001 22:27 To: Colley, Tony Cc: roottalk@pcroot.cern.ch; Masaharu Goto Subject: Re: [ROOT] compiling CINT with gcc 3.0.1 Hi Tony, libstrm.cxx does not work with gcc 3. We need to make a gcc3strm.cxx. For the time make sure you use fakestrm.cxx in your makefile. This is done in the ROOT Makefile (see $ROOTSYS/cint/Module.mk). Cheers, Fons.
