RE: [ROOT] compiling CINT with gcc 3.0.1

Hello Fons,

Thanks for the help... I've gotten ROOT/CINT to build with gcc 3.0.1 now,
and I can even run things from the ROOT command line.

I was wondering, though, am I loosing any functionality by using
fakestrm.cxx? I assume I must be loosing something, else there wouldn't be a
libstrm.cxx in the first place.

Cheers, Tony.

Hi Tony,

libstrm.cxx does not work with gcc 3. We need to make a gcc3strm.cxx.
For the time make sure you use fakestrm.cxx in your makefile. This is done
in the ROOT Makefile (see $ROOTSYS/cint/Module.mk).

Cheers, Fons.
