Hi Anton, these numbers are, as usual, quite application specific. A lot depends on the object model, query strategy, etc. We have some large financial companies using ROOT I/O and I expect they've made these evaluations in-house, but I've never seen an evaluation report. I've made some small comparison of a very simple file catalog like data structure in ROOT and MySQL, but this is not representative for a more complex object model. Cheers, Fons.
