Hi Emilio, See examples of 2-D fits in $ROOTSYS/tutorials/fit2.C, fit2a.C, fit2d.C You do not need TMultiDimFit to fit a 2-D histogram with gaussians. TMultiDimFit can be used to: - estimate the best expression representing your data - fit the found expression to the data Rene Brun On Fri, 21 Sep 2001, Emilio Jose Vilchez Martinez wrote: > Hi rooters, > > > I have read TMultiDimFit in the html doc and I have one doubt, Can > I fit a 2D matrix of data to 2D gaussian directly,I mean without > polinomial fitting like in TH1::Fit but in TH2 or with the data matrix and > TMultidimfit.I have seen the methods FitSlyce but I have to use a method > that adjust the whole 2D matrix data to obtain the gaussian parameters. > > > Thanks. >
