Hi Martin, The class TProcessID has been introduced in 3.02 to support persistent reference pointers. If you use 3.01, you should not see any messages involving TProcessID. Check your Root versions on both machines. The new clases TProcessID, TRef and TRefArray (supporying persistent reference pointers) are described in the html pages of version 3.02. See: http://root.cern.ch/root/htmldoc/ClassIndex.html http://root.cern.ch/root/htmldoc/src/TProcessID.cxx.html http://root.cern.ch/root/htmldoc/src/TRef.cxx.html http://root.cern.ch/root/htmldoc/src/TRefArray.cxx.html Rene Brun On Mon, 15 Oct 2001 schulte@pktw08.phy.tu-dresden.de wrote: > hi, > i'm writing files from aix (4.3 to suse-linux 7.2 - both 3.01.06, but the > version on the linux side ist from yesterday). > and since yesterday i get (linux-side) the warning: > > > Warning in <TClass::TClass>: no dictionary for class TProcessID is available > > what worries me is, that if you search for 'TProcessID' on the root-website, it results in: > No matches found! > > is this something to be concerned about? everything seems to work so far. but > since i'm fighting against a very strange problem (R__unzip: discrepancy with initial size), which > could be due to hardware/configuration errors, i just what to rule out all understood possibilities. > > cheers, > martin s-w >
