Hi Philippe, thanks for pointing me the AddFriend(...) function. It is very useful and could have avoided the filling of the help.root file (Unfortunately in one of the two root files with same branch structure some entries are missing) However I don't see the same things as you while scanning the file. Just an example: On Tue, 16 Oct 2001, Philippe Canal wrote: > > > if I do a scan all the entries are the same: > > tree->Scan("ptsg3x.c:ptsint.c") > > Actually scroll down to entries passed 100 and you will see that the > 2 columns seem to be the same for 0 to 100 and are different for 101 to > 201. > This is what I see: root [5] ntp->Scan("ptsg3x.c:ptsint.c") ************************************ * Row * ptsg3x.c * ptsint.c * ************************************ * 0 * -999 * -999 * * 1 * 0.0101845 * 0.0101845 * * 2 * -0.006679 * -0.006679 * * 3 * 0.0003459 * 0.0003459 * * 4 * -0.001663 * -0.001663 * (...) That's why I'm supecting that Scan behaves strangely (at least in my Root version 3.01/06) and trust Draw instead Scan. Could you confirm this?
