Is there some extra magic required to set the axis labels via
myhist->GetXaxis()->SetBinLabel( 1, "12cm" ) ?

Nothing happens when I do this, refreshing from the Options menu or 
myhist->Draw()ing doesn't help either.

This is version 3.02/01 on MacOSX.
