Hi RObert,

   the TMapFile functionality requires linking with libNew. We don't
link the default root anymore with this lib, but for backward compatibility
provide an exutable rootn.exe in $ROOTSYS/bin which has been linked with
libNew. Of course you can still link any of your own apps with libNew.
The TMapFile functionality has not been deprecated.
