[ROOT] MakeClass leafs

Hey folks,
I have used make class to generate mine.C and mine.h.
now if I say,  "m.Show(16)", in the command line then it puts out all those leaf values correctly.  But if I edit the Loop() method to say, "printf( "%f ", someLeaf[ jentry ] )", I get nothing but zeroes.  So why is that?
if I say myHisto->Fill( "someLeaf[ jentry ]"), it also fills myHisto with a bunch of zeros
